1978 Honda CB750F For Sale
1978 Honda CB750F up for sale. Last year for the single overhead cam engine. I bought this bike for personal use a couple summers ago. Not sure how many miles I’ve put on it but it gets used regularly when the weather is nice.
The bike initially had pod filters on it. I replaced the pods with a correct air box and filter setup. Tuned the carbs as well. I also performed 2 oil changes and a valve and points adjustment during my ownership. The rear brake caliper was also rebuilt with a new seal. As you can see the bike has an aftermarket, 4 into 1 exhaust system. I also have an original black valve cover and left side stator cover that will go with the bike. Somewhere along the way chrome versions were installed.
The bike runs well and hasn’t given me any mechanical issues. There are a couple things to point out. The fuel tank has a crease on the right side. Not always noticeable. I usually have to point it out to those who look at the bike. Second thing is cylinder #3 has a cranky exhaust valve seal. Basically sometimes it will smoke at startup, sometimes it won’t. The issue isn’t anything remotely close to severe. Lastly the little spring that holds the fuel door down is missing. This part is not readily available. The door stays down without any issues without the spring. Again the bike runs and rides perfectly fine.
Available for Restoration
This motorcycle is also available for restoration. I will give a restoration customer a reduced price on the cost of the bike if we enter into a restoration project. The discounted price is only available if we enter into an agreement to do a restoration. While it does look and function fine in its current state, throwing some coin at it would make it a REALLY nice bike.
