1969 Honda Z50 Restoration
Here is another Z50 that was purchased by the original owner way back in '69. Cutting lawns used to be a means for young ones to accrue some cash and buy a bicycle or whatever. This particular boy decide he wanted a Z50. Good choice!
After retrieving the Honda from his childhood home in Vermont, the Maryland resident dropped the bike off for a complete redo. Truth be told this bike was the hardest to disassemble in recent memory. Everything was rusted fast and corroded. I literally gave up on the wheels. After several soakings and heat they still wouldn't come apart.
The usual treatments were all in order. Engine, bearings, hardware and host of new parts would complete this bikes voyage back to the glory days of the late 60's.
